Competitions

Our students currently attend and compete yearly in the Heart of America Competition held in Kansas City each August. Competitions allow students to give themselves a goal to reach in their dancing. They are also very entertaining and educational.

Students have the opportunity at these competitions to take group sessions with other professional teachers, meet students from all over the country, and get to see a Professional Showcase. It is a very exciting and classy weekend of dancing.

La Roca Dance Studio attended the St. Louis Star Ball in March of 2010 with several of its Students. The Studio received 2nd Place Top School out of 176 schools and Peter Hernandez recived 2nd Place Top Teacher. Several Of the Students also received 1st and 2nd Place Awards in Different age categories and dance Styles.

Studio Parties

Studio parties are held monthly in order to give our students and their guests at least one chance per month to gather and practice the dancing they have learned. Our studio parties are a great way to meet new people who have interest in dancing and having fun. Some studio parties have themes which follow the seasons accordingly and some we just have to have an opportunity to get together. Parties are usually held on the last Friday of the month at 8 p.m. (see our calendar) and cost only $10 per person, which includes beverages, cocktails, and appetizers.
